The raised individual 'petals' of color represent once enslaved people.
They are on a pathway created by repurposed packaging material.
Their vibrant colors represent their joy, beauty & freedom as they are
on a new pathway to freedom. But, along this pathway there is still
more ground that needs to be gained = more freedom to be had =
more work to be done. May we continue to fight for freedom to be
reached in its fullness!
